HOW OLD DOES MY CHILD NEED TO BE AT THE
TIME OF REGISTRATION? PrimeTime is a school-age child care program for children in Grades K-6. Kindergarten
parents please be advised that for before and after
care during the school year, a child must be enrolled
in kindergarten at the time of registration. However, for summer camp, it is okay for a child to be going
into kindergarten come September.
HOW MANY CHILDREN ARE IN A GROUP?There is a varied number of children in each group, but the state required adult to child ratio is maintained at all
times with one adult directly caring for no more than 15 children in grades K-5. However, on average our adult to child
ratio is 1:10.
DOES PRIMETIME OFFER VACATION DAYS?Yes, PrimeTime does offer child care on most of the days the Cranford public schools are closed for holidays and teacher
in service days. The fee for vacation days is $40.00 a day. A second child will be $35.00 and a third will be $30.00. The
fee for half-days is $20.00 excluding Kindergarten. Additional fees may be required for trips or special programs.
WILL MY CHILD HAVE TIME TO COMPLETE THEIR HOMEWORK IN AFTER CARE?
Yes, children will have the opportunity to go to the homework
room daily, any time between 2:45 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. A private tutor is also available, for an additional
fee, for parents who would like their children to have greater one-on-one assistance. Please refer to the "Outside Programs" tab for more information.
HOW IS THE PRICE
OF TUITION DETERMINED?
Tuition fees are based on a school year of 180 days and divided into 10 equal payments.
If a child attends PrimeTime 5, 4, or 3 days, the expenses are virtually the same. Supplies and equipment must be purchased
for all children, bookkeeping must be done for each child and teachers must be hired for a 5-day program.
