Flexible days to meet parents' needs in a relaxed home-like setting

We currently have space available for the following grades/schools:

*Kindergarten (only 1 space available)

*1st Grade from Walnut Avenue School

*2nd Grade from all schools

*4th, 5th, 6th Grades from all schools

PrimeTime, located in the First Presbyterian Church of Cranford, offers before and after child care for children in grades Kindergarten through 6th grade.  Our purpose is to provide a comfortable, caring atmosphere for children of working parents.
 -
We have been operating since 1990 and are licensed by the NJ Department of Children and Families.   Our facility has met all the health and safety requirements required by the State of NJ and all of our staff members are CPR and First Aid certified.

Our goal is to provide a place where children may build relationships, pursue a wide variety of interests, and develop their creativity and imagination.

A wide variety of activities are available including, K'nex, arts and crafts, hands on science, cooking, billiards, nok hockey, fooseball, air hockey, board games, and gym activities.

Karate, piano, science, and computer lessons are offered by outside sources.   Music classes and private one-on-one tutoring sessions are also available.  Please see the OUTSIDE PROGRAMS page for more information.

Children are often placed in a wide variety of structured situations.  According to many child psychology experts, children need more unstructured playtime in which they can dream and imagine all sorts of wonderful worlds.

A Massachusetts psychologist stated he felt that we may be trying to instill too many skills too early and thereby creating unhappy people who will long for the childhood they never had.

PrimeTime hopes to offer children a place to be children.
